Join us for a moderated roundtable where we hear from fascinating women who have achieved success in their field, as they share stories and lessons learned. This Back 2 Biz webinar on April 12 at 12-1pm ET features the following leaders: Shirley M. Malcom currently serves as Senior Advisor and Director of SEA Change (STEMM Equity Achievement) at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. SEA Change is a major institutional transformation initiative adapted from the Athena SWAN gender equality effort in the UK and the UK’s Race Equality Charter. Dr. Malcom is a trustee of Caltech, and a regent of Morgan State University. She serves on the boards of the Heinz Endowments, Public Agenda, the National Math and Science Initiative and Digital Promise. She has BS and MA degrees in zoology from the University of Washington and UCLA, respectively, and a PhD in ecology from Penn State. Dr. Malcom is also active in gender equality in STI (science, technology and innovation) efforts internationally as co-chair of the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission on S&T for Development and Gender InSITE.

Cheryl M. Potts is the founder & CEO of Cleerkut, a software development firm with innovative solutions for the global entertainment industry, including Cleerkut Royalty, a rights management platform for independent music creators and music professionals. She has received numerous RIAA certified gold albums for client projects. Her comments were included in the final music licensing study conducted by the U.S. Copyright Office.

Colonel (Ret.) Jen Sovada, a Forbes Top 50 AI in Government Influencer, is the Senior Vice President for MissionTech Solutions, an Avantus Federal Company, where she is responsible for bringing MissionTech’s model for integrating new technologies and best practices into government. While at MissionTech, Jen developed MissionTech’s Promethean ProcessTM, a proprietary five-step innovation framework that drives the success of our projects and clients. Prior to joining MissionTech, Jen served as an Intelligence Officer for over 25 years in the Air Force and held high-level positions across the Intelligence Community, including serving as the Chief of Talent Management for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Cyber Effects Operations and as the Wing Commander of the Air Force Technical Applications Center.

Sneh Patel has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Pharm.D. from UIC. Throughout her career, she has been at the intersection of healthcare, consumer and tech, with roles in innovation consulting, VC and as a healthcare intrapreneur. She has worked for Procter & Gamble, McKinsey and a personalization startup. Recently, a personal journey inspired her to found a new startup with a mission to improve the science of cancer prevention and treatment.
