MIT Enterprise Forum San Diego hosts 13 programs ranging from case study presentations, themed panel interviews, to keynotes. The annual Wine Social is an additional event held every August at the Birch Aquarium, which attracts more than 400 leaders from the innovation community.

CEO Case Study:
The MIT Enterprise Forum case study presentations welcome CEOs of local, up and coming, technology companies to present an executive overview, including current challenges facing their business. These presenting companies are privately held and have either completed a round of funding or are getting revenue to date. An expert panel of advisors lends their advice and draws upon their experiences to provide feedback and potential solutions to these challenges based on their own professional experiences and expertise. These business challenges are those encountered by most aspiring entrepreneurs and small growing enterprises-including financial, marketing, application of technology, operations, management, growth, diversification, and more-everyone walks away enlightened!

Themed Panel Interviews:
Themed panel interviews are thematic programs that explore common challenges and trends within a particular industry or operational arena.  Panelists represent the top of their field and industry and are well-versed on the thematic content.

Keynotes:
As an extension of the content covered in a past case study and thematic program, the keynotes held several times a year provide an opportunity for the community at large to enjoy the experience, wisdom, and engaging personality of a notable speaker in the field.

Dating Game:
Once a year in May, the Forum celebrates innovation with “The Dating Game” at which 6-8 early stage companies participate in a friendly pitch competition. Two Investors ask questions to determine which companies will be the best match for their investment dollars.  Audience participation is encouraged as presenting companies field questions from investment bankers, capital investment and planning experts, venture capitalists, angel investors, service providers, senior executives and other entrepreneurs. Presenting companies will also staff display tables during a network reception before pitching their companies and products to the audience.

Happy Hours:

An exclusive benefit for Members are these quarterly programs.  Meet your peers at a shorter program with a smaller group for more personal dialog.  Typically, these are limited to 1-1/2 hours, with plenty of networking time, a short featured video followed by an open discussion.

Wine Social:
Our signature wine tasting social, held annually, is now widely recognized as the premier networking event for San Diego’s technology and biotechnology community. With over 400 founders and executives of growth companies, business development personnel, investors, service providers, industry leaders, press, and elected officials in attendance, the networking social creates an opportunity for technology sector leaders across all industries to connect in a relaxed and inspiring setting. All the technology and biotechnology industry clusters from scientific start-ups to sophisticated public companies are represented, as well as their supporting service providers.
