Unlimited Tastings; Food from The French Gourmet, extended Networking

The San Diego beer scene is one of the best known in the country, with over 150 breweries pouring over $1 billion into the local economy. Some trace it’s origins after homebrewing was legalized in 1978, and California allowed brewpubs to operate as early as 1982. Then in 1989, Karl Strauss opened it’s Brewery & Grill, creating the catalyst for San Diego’s craft beer rise. From Karl Strauss, you can trace the San Diego beer scene, with several of it’s the original employees opening well-known breweries, including Pizza Port Brewery (which spawned Port Brewing and Lost Abbey, among others) and the Home Brew Mart, which gave rise to Ballast Point Brewing Company. Then in 1994, Chris White, opened White Labs, one of the world’s preeminent yeast labs creating “unprecedented access to world class yeast” and “custom yeast strains.” Learn important business lessons from leading brewers at our panel discussion.  Plus, we’ll have an extended networking period for beer tastings.

Questions for the panel:

  6. If you had to do it all over again, would you do it? Do it now? What would you do different?
